In other words a motorized surfboard?
Sounds like a really small jet-ski without the handles. It could work, I think.
I've ridden stand-up jet skis, but not surfed. I'm not sure that it would be as fun as surfing is said to be, but I do think it would be great.
Anyway, 'motorized surfboard' yields lots of hits in Google, but I've yet to see on that's 'made it.'.
