energy gun | |||||||||||||||||
This isnt a gun that you shoot, its more of a gun that reads energy. It would combine a radar gun, heat camera, x-ray, and would measure if the energy is in the form of a solid, liquid, or gas and put it all in one camera that would measure energy and how it trancfers.

woops i spelled that last word wrong!!
Each of these energy detecting and analysis units are specialized systems requiring specific mechanisms. Assuming this is possible what use would it be designed for?
Well i guess that it could be used to detect high energy points in structures which would be its vulneral point and you could build smarter, stronger buildings. with less of those points that make the building unsafe, this is all under the thory that it works.
chosen one, I think buildings may have areas of high stress, but I don't think they have 'energy.' Energy is the ability to do work.
Your invention would sound a little like the output from the sensors on a Federation Starship--they scan the whole planet for 'life signs' and can pinpoint energy sources. May be useful in some energy weapon future, but gunpowder is a source of energy, as is gasoline. Would your sensor pinpoint those? Your posts only indicates that it records sources of emitted EM radiation. If you're using it for military or defense, you'd want to know potential energy emission.
