My idea is essentially to create not a language, but a phrase that every person, regardless of location, will understand. I'm short of ideas, so i'll leave the suggestions open for ideas.

God

God doesn't work very well because each language already has a word for that. Coca-cola is a commercial name and there is no other word for it.

Really, I was thinking something like "we are all children of this planet."

Ok.

What language would you suggest the phrase be in? Do you think Americans or French people could pronounce the Chinese properly? And on what occasions would one say it?

Hmm..

Hello

antripathy, Mar 05 2010

for when it would be said, i didn't think that through. what language it would be, well, maybe a cross between greek, latin, and maybe some common asian words, if they have any. i know thank you in spanish is graciess, or something like that, and italian for thank you is gratzi. so languages do have some things in common. hopefully that can translate to a phrase that is understandable to some extent, even if you don't know what it means yet.
