Bath Exercise Pedals | |||||||||||||||||
The idea is basically the pedals from an exercise bike (like pedalow pedals) which you can put in your bath. Imagine your lying in a nice relaxing but your legs are just pedaling round and round in a nice gentle motion. The pedals would have a comfortable shoe type holder (like a pair of crocs) attached to them so feel nice on your feet and also hold them firmly in place so they don't slip out while pedaling. The product would be secured on the bath with a suction cap system meaning the postition could be varied so that all sizes of legs can use it. I'm not sure wether the resistance of the pedals will be gained through a paddlewhell using the resistance of the water to achieve a desired burn or if there should be another system used which has variable resistance settings. I'd also like to think that this machine could somehow whip up bubbles to achieve not only a relaxing bath and a work-out but also a luxurious lather. What do you think?

would you run the water deeper so that you're pedaling underwater, or would you just splash going in and out?
Also, I think you'd need the seat-part of a recumbant bike in the water to do this regularly, because the backs of most tubs aren't well suited to fit a person well that's doing regular exercise.
I agree that it can work and water exercise is popular with some people. no problem with sweaty laundry at least.
