Cable car system (Teleferik) between the skyscrapers. The major cities all over the world have long towers and skyscrapers. These can be used as pillars for teleferik network by connecting them with cables. Mechanically and economically it sounds very applicable and feasible.

Is the traffic between skyscrapers sufficient to support such a system?

It will transfer people between the different sections of the city. Skyscrapers will be only the stations. Towers and skyscrapers will have dedicated elevators for this transportation system. Instead of constructing monorail or undergrounds this could be more effective and economic by having carriages train along these cables.
