I know they use ultrasound to clean jewelry. I know that microwaves could heat up wet clothes.
So the idea is, you put your clothes into the Hoytster(tm), it fills with water and uses ultrasound to shake out the dirt, it rinses, then it evacuates (depressurizes) as the microwaves dry the clothes -- the partial-vacuum lowering the boiling point so the clothes are not heated excessively. Like how you can't make a decently-hot cup of tea on Mt. Everest.
So you get one machine to wash and dry, with hands off.
It may as well cook your popcorn, too. "Honey, I want to heat up some pizza, can you move the laundry please?" :)

Metal parts on clothes such as zippers might cause a problem since they absorb too much energy and could overheat or spark.
I think this would be very dangerous and quite pointless really as when many foods (Curry) explode in the microwave, mass cleaning would be needed before the cleaning of clothes. Also this may be very expensive as washer/dryer combos are quite expensive now.
Sharp created an ultrasonic dishwasher back in 2002 but only releases it in Japan. I would definatley buy an ultrasonic dishwasher as it would not need detergent, just salt.
