Let's just imagine that you're at work surfing the internet for recipes, politics or porn, when you should be diligently slaving away on a spreadsheet. Rather than blow your cover by scrambling to switch windows from the internet to the spreadsheet when your boss or co-worker approaches (or appears at your side), why not have a motion detector hidden in the edge of the cubicle or the doorway of the office, connected to your computer, which detects an approaching visitor and automatically switches windows from the internet to the spreadsheet (or whatever work you should be working on) for you a few seconds before they appear? I think it could be done with existing technology.

I remember once seeing a computer game which had a 'panic button' that would automatically change the screen to a snap of an excel spreadsheet. But this takes it a step further.
