Bayesian learning for | |||||||||||||||||
Microsoft Word should incorporate Bayesian learning for its little Office Assistant paper clip. Every time you shut the thing up, MS Word collects data on your preferences. Eventually, the paper clip should be able to forecast when its presence is unwelcome.

Yeah, and why not have Bayesian learning on your mouse movements and keystrokes, eventually the computer will do all your work for you!
I think that is already does this, in the Office XP copy that I have on my Windows XP, it "figured out" (and even told me so) that "you don't seem to want to use the assistant"
Gee... you think?
