What is the most boring of all sports? Bowling -- because every frame each bowler shoots at the same target. I propose to change the game in the following way: Add a fifth row of positions 11 12 13 14 15behind the present fourth row. For each frame, have a computer select at random a subset of 10 of the 15 positions (there are 3003 such subsets) and put the pins in the corresponding positions, leaving 5 positions vacant. A button would tell the machine to reset in the previous position or to create a new target. Scoring would not change. In the "skill game," each player would shoot at the same target in a given frame, and then the next frame would present a new target for all to shoot at. In the "luck game," each new bowler in a frame would face a new target, which could be easier or harder than that faced by the others.

Bowling is a perfectly interesting sport, and adding more would just confuse people, (namely me)Plus, at least in bowling you can talk to people, and laugh and have fun. Therefore, its not boring. Golf, however, is boring, because you can't even talk to your friends. So i think more rows would just complicate it.
