When you're traveling and need to use a computer, you can unpack a laptop, which can be bulky and heavy, or you can use a PDA or cell phone, which is more compact but has a tiny screen. But what if the PDA/cell had a screen that unfolds to the size of a laptop screen, the way that a road map unfolds? The image or images on the screen could expand to fill as many of the foldout segments as you want, like the individual TV screens on a video wall.

There was a recent article in the Scientific American of the development of a flexible plastic display screen that could be rolled up which might fill the purpose.
