Replace the traditional 'clock radio' beside your bed with a 'BedButler' networking device that performs as a clock/radio and ALSO as a computing/network accessory. It could light up or 'ring' when you have new email msgs. It could be offered in wireless (WiFi?) form or USB2.0 or use some other means of connectivity to your home/office PC. It could have a small, say, 2" by 6" LCD screen for viewing email, a built-in microphone for 'dictating' emails or instructional commands via voice recognition software. It might have an optional PDA-style keyboard or an onscreen version with an accompanying 'bed-compatible mouse' for conventional input.

Big benefit would allow for connectivity at bedside before retiring and in the morning. What better way to ease yourself to sleep than by catching up on a few emails at your leisure and convenience, while lying in bed?

Device could also act as audio player accessing tunes on your PC's harddrive or via internet radio! Could be set to play preferred tunes as wake-up call!

I am thinking of something more specific, in that it will be networked, a 400x600 LCD touchpad, which will have a clock, and a media "tuner", to tune TV or radio stations from the net or a satellite/cable/antenna tuner elswhere in your home, or from files on a server in your home. You would also have local weather or news streamed to it from the net.
