I just realized when doing dishes today that a modified electric toothbrush will tremendously help scrubbing pots. While I realize many households have dishwashers, but for some of us still have to scrub away our dirty pots daily.

A cheap electric toothbrush can have a larger sponge head and a flexible head that allows the scrub to reach deep pots. With the press of a button, the brush will start scrubbing, saving time and energy. When the sponge is worn, it can be replaced, just like electric toothbrush heads.

I just learned that the folks who turned the snip pop into the spin brush toothbrush have found one more use for their cheap motor on a stick, namely the motorized pop scrubber. It's called the "Dawn Power Dish Brush.". Another great example of the translation tool.

Substituting electricity for elbow grease may be tempting, but using a hand held electrical device around water has its real dangers of electric shock and fatal accidents with a frayed cord or exposed electric contact.

Not when they are either low-voltage, or even battery operated.

i think that having an electrical device in your hand for dishes is as safe if not safer than having one in your mouth, wet and covered in toothpaste, which contains specific salts which increase conductivity.
