Why not have a rider to your homeowner's policy that would cover travel cancellations like the per trip insurance you now buy? That stuff is expensive because it is calculated each trip...buy one basic coverage with homeowners up to xxx amount per person per trip. Property and Casualty companies are thirsting for the top level homeowners as customers...wake up...they travel often. Big market, small risk, easy of implementation.
