In this age of mass customization, what could be more thoroughly personalized than our sexual experiences? It is now possible to go into a mall, get your hair and makeup done, have your photograph taken, and leave with finished professional quality prints. Let's apply the same idea to the adult film industry... Go to the studio. Choose your actor, film your adult scene, have it edited. Walk out with a professional quality porn, starring you! Providing this service would clearly be a highly profitable business venture. Prostitution laws in most states would make this a questionable proposition as paying for sex is illegal. California has a loophole which states that the purpose of the sexual contact must be sexual gratification (and most adult films are made in CA as a result). Filming a movie and expressing yourself is the purpose here, not sexual gratification. Actors would be held to the highest standard - regular drug and disease testing, all scenes shot using protection. This could help reduce the cycle of drug use, exploitation of women, and the spread of stds that accompanies the blight of illegal prostitution. It would also add a revenue stream to the government as a black market would become taxable. Proceeds could be used ala Newman's Own - proceeds to benefit womens' charities, abuse prevention, std research, and so on. Clearly, this idea would need significant legal resources behind it. And an entrepreneur of significant brass.

Chance, this is a brilliant concept. What do you think the pricing would be? It seems to me that it would be limited to the well-heeled; the production costs alone would probably require a pricepoint in the thousands of dollars.
A modification which would allow a lower pricepoint is to do a full-body scan of the customer, then create a CGI video. This could be much cheaper.
Excellent idea. I would simply suggest that someone could cast, direct, write the "story", etc. and have the performers do their thing, without having the customer actually take part in it, unless of course, watching oneself is what he or she is into. That I think would get around the legality issue. Great idea.
I gave this idea quite a bit of thought a few months ago. You can't use CGI because the whole point is to actually have the PORN STAR FOR A DAY experience. The video you take home and share with your friends would just be a secondary bonus, and some customers may actually just want it destroyed, not preserved.
Any man should legally have the right to pursue a career in the legal porn industry. It is you right to pursue this profession by having a DEMO tape made, regardless of where you live or what you want to do with the tape later.
This is also not an expensive service. You provide three different sets for multiple scenarios. One set is for "The Pizza Delivery Boy Gets Lucky", another set is used for "The Nasty Nurse" or whatever floats your boat. Your major expense will be for the escort service to send you an actress, about $200 to $300 per hour. I would ask for a volume discount, or hire amateurs from the Adult Entertainment section of the newspaper.
I got this idea originlly because REAL porn stars used to spend a few days at the legal brothel 'Chicken Ranch' so she could meet her fans. SO, Who want's to be a porn star?
