Reduce price with the time. | |||||||||||||||||
Here in Sweden when you are a new subscriber to a newspaper you will receive a discount. So if you like the newspaper you will never get a discount anymore. I would like to have a discount that grows each year if I stay customer to the newspaper. No more swap between newspapers. Example:So if I start my subscription 3 years ago I will have my price reduce by 13%. For 4 years 14% I hope you understand what I mean.

I've observed a similar phenomenon with magazine subscriptions in the U.S. There are all sorts of tantalizing "introductory offers," but once you've been subscribed for a year, the price goes up. I like the idea of rewarding loyalty.
The idea is appealing, but the psychology is wrong. A lower price captures new readers, but once you are a steady reader, it is difficult to give up the magazine assuming it fulfills a need. The magazine capitalizes on this dependence by leaving the price high. You can, of course, cancel your subscription and re-subscribe to get the lower price.
