This is not "new" but why-oh-why do pediatricians (or even pediatric nurses) not make house calls? It is amazingly hard for two sick adults to pile three sick kids (one a baby) into the car in bad weather to take them to the Great Germ Exchange that is the pediatrician's office. With the return of grocery delivery and dry-cleaning pickups, you'd think pediatricians might consider adding a house-call service for extra money.

House calls (whether pediatric or otherwise) appear to be very unpopular in the United States. In some European countries, doctors set aside half of their days to do house calls. I suspect doctors figured out that house calls are less profitable (fewer patients can be seen, additional traveling time and expense (gas, car), etc.), but I would be willing to compensate them for the added convenience.
