Credit Card rebate sent to 529 | |||||||||||||||||
Many credit cards offer 1-2% back for purchases, often in the form of restrictive airline miles. Discover sents money while others sent gift cards to specific stores like Toys R Us. Since I never miss the 2% and I often scramble to find ways to use the rebate, I would rather it go to a 529 planfor my children's college fund.

There are already quite a few 529 cards out there. Fidelity has one that is semi popular and MBNA probably also has one. Search the finance forum at www.fatwallet.com and you can find some.
There is a great new program called Futuretrust. Futuretrust is a MasterCard linked college savings program that allows you to earn college savings on every purchase, plus there are over 250 retail partners such as linens N Things, Baby Depot and Eddie Bauer to name a few. Best of all I can link Futuretrust to any 529 plan and there are no limits to the college savings rebates I earn. I recommend that everyone go visit www.futuretrust.com
GM Master card gives 5% off new or lease vehicle, looks like they saw you coming!
