Although a spoon is sufficient for liquids and a fork for small pieces, when eating something with a thin sauce, perhaps something inbetween might be useful. A spoon with short tines at the tip could carry a solid plus a dollop of sauce in the bowl to eat the mix more completely.

As illustrated, the spork has tines chopped into the bowl of the spoon component. If the tines were mounted on the leading edge of the bowl, the full liquid capacity would not be compromised. It could be called a "foon".
