I actually like having a non-window office. More wall space for shelves (important for us packrats), no heat, no glare (I've had window offices too). However it is nice to be able to look outside and see what the weather is doing. How about a website that allows feeds from webcams (or higher quality video cameras) so that you can "glance outside" from a browser. It might be fun or useful to check the weather other places too. Maybe there can be views of spectacular, beautiful, interesting, or notorious spots around the world.
I'll bet this already exists and I just couldn't find it.

I am unfamiliar with other places but Helsinki, Finland has a webcam at: http://virtual.finland.fi/finfo/english/webcam.html
I run Weatherbug. It reports the local weather for my zip code, shows the local radar and provides local webcams. These would be good if I wanted to keep track of the local prospects of rain or snow. For windows on the world, I Webshots. It lets me download pictures for use as screensavers and wallpaper. It is free and offers two nre pictures every day. I collect pleasant outdoor shots: Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon. Today I collected a fractally produced shot of a mountains on another planet. Much better than a window on the local street.
