How to avoid Spam | |||||||||||||||||
I continue to hear people complain about ridiculous amounts of "Spam" in their mailbox. Here's an easy solution that's worked for me for years. Have 2 e-mail addresses. One address, you ONLY give to people you know. The other one, you use anytime you sign up for something online (I just used it for whynot.net). Right now I get about 30 fradulent emails a day in my fake account, and absolutely none in my real account. The only problem is having to delete messages when my fake account fills up.

I have not spam problems. I use MSN Hotmail (free) and a Yahoo account (cheap). They both have excellent filters. Apparently that makes such accounts less attractive to spammers, because I get only about one item a day in my bulk mailbox. I check it to see the latest scam.
